Sawrey Knotts is built into the rocky hillside.  This suite is tucked away to the rear of the house, looking up towards the rockery garden and the old walled terraced garden.  It has the benefit of a separate bedroom with a pretty king-size bed.  It also has its own entrance.   The elegant living/dining room has a high ceiling with a large marble fireplace and original shuttered windows. There is a comfortable seating and dining area.
The shower room contains a large shower, washbasin and w.c. and there is a compact fully fitted kitchen. This suite welcomes 1 to 2 well-behaved dogs.

On the ground floor, this suite originally included the house writing room. It now provides spacious accommodation for 2 to 4 people. There is a spacious elegant sitting room with an open fireplace and a view towards the front of the property and over Lake Windermere.  There is a good-sized fully fitted kitchen and a dining area which seats 4 people. The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower. The second bedroom has adult sized bunk beds and lovely views through arched windows over the lake. There is a further shower room with electric shower and w.c. opposite.

From its elevated position on the first floor, this was originally the house drawing room. The Drawing Room Suite is a place that will inspire you with its magnificent panoramic views.
This surprisingly large open plan studio suite features a sumptuous king-sized four-poster bed, antique furniture, comfortable seating and dining areas and a large log burner. The bathroom has a corner bath with hand held shower and there is a spacious separate kitchen providing further views. Entrance is via the main house or a rear door leading from the kitchen into the grounds. 1-2 well-behaved dogs are welcome here.

The Top Garden Suite is reached by a sweeping driveway and a brief level walk across a little bridge. Although it is actually high up on the second floor ( Sawrey Knotts is built into a hillside), The Top Garden Suite is also reached from ground level! As it has a feeling of seclusion this suite often appeals to dog lovers or those seeking privacy.
This suite has a cottage atmosphere. The pretty sitting/dining room is cosy, furnished with comfortable furniture and has the benefit of a log burner. There is a fully fitted galley kitchen . The bathroom contains a bath and integral electric shower. The master bedroom has a lovely king size bed and a wash hand basin. The second bedroom has two single beds. There are views from the main room and kitchen over the rooftops of Sawrey Knotts towards the fells and Lake Windermere in the distance. An outside seating area also gives outstanding south-facing views.

The Morning Room Suite provides spacious accommodation. It has a wonderful position on the first floor offering panoramic views from the main living room, master and single bedrooms. The main room has a lounge/dining area alongside an open plan kitchen. There is an unusual working open fire built under the gable window.
The master bedroom has a beautiful coronet bed and an ensuite shower room with w.c. There is a lovely smaller double bedroom and a further single bedroom with a coronet bed. A bathroom with a raised bath and hand-held shower completes this rather special apartment.
